Every business person has a sphere of influence, putting that group of contacts to work as ambassadors for a business requires putting an action plan together.

The business owner needs to move around in the community, become a guest at a local service club, meet other business owners and establish a network of contacts there.  Figure out what makes a business unique and tell people about it, communicate your business at all times.
 
Community events are ideal places to meet leaders in the area and the type of contacts who can later be better informed of your business.   Grow your presence in the community,  remembering looking for ways to connect and follow up with your newly acquired potential business word of mouth ambassador.
